Print Bitmaps

In NORMICA Software there is the syntax plot and print.

  • Plot means to copy the original file to the plotter.
  • To print means to create out of the original drawing with a Windows printer driver a new print file a send this to the printer.

Because it is not common that Plotters support bitmaps directly,

  • you can print through NORMICA with a Windows printer driver
  • or the bitmap can be exported by NORMICA to a generic plot file and then copied to printer

It is much faster if you want to print large bitmaps (DINA1 or bigger), creating with NORMICA out of a bitmap an RTL file and copy this to the plotter then printing out a bitmap from e.g. Photoshop, which may take many times longer.

Following products offer to print Bitmaps.

NORMICA VIEW (BMP, TIF, JPEG, TGA, RTL)

NORMICAV2000 (BMP, TIF, JPEG, TGA, RTL)

NORMICA BATCH-PROCESSOR (BMP, TIF, PSD, JPEG, JPEG 2000, RTL)

NORMICA BATCH-PROCESSOR offers the export and plot service of many files, time scheduled, by hot folder, or can be additionally processed by command line.
